Cancelled! Controversial City Council hearing on 7/30
The NYC Hospitality Alliance was informed of very positive news that all the advocacy and outrage over Int. 991 has resulted in a wise move by Council Member Julie Menin to postpone the City Council hearing on the legislation that was scheduled for Tuesday, July 30. If enacted into law, this legislation would put countless restaurants and bars located in hotels out of business and force them to lay off their workers. We commend her for postponing this hearing.

This is a very positive update. It does not mean this battle is over by any means, but it is a powerful show of strength from our collective opposition.
