Liquor License Fee Suspension

We are proud to have championed the suspension of the city’s liquor license surcharge, which is unique in that only NYC businesses pay it. This surcharge was not only pesky and unfair, but an accidental late payment of the surcharge could result in the delay of being issued a sidewalk café license and permits, while also having to deal with other bureaucratic headaches. We are proud to have worked with Mayor Adams, Council Members Powers and Brannan and other supporters to put money back into the pockets of small business owners.
